Neill Skillen arriving at Peel (I can't find his picture at the finish)
22 people defied the notion that you needed experience to battle through the heat on Saturday and finished the full 85 miles at the very first time. Well done to all of the following:
Neill Skillen | 18:08:52 |
Selwyn Facey | 20:00:49 |
Ali Mazzone | 20:32:00 |
Jane Foster | 20:51:50 |
James Kerr | 21:19:50 |
Stephen Pevsner | 21:20:18 |
Melanie Kermeen-Jansen | 21:42:36 |
Janette Morgan | 21:57:23 |
Humphrey Laughton | 22:18:21 |
Gareth Brolly | 22:27:02 |
Andrew Muir | 22:27:29 |
Emma Shilling | 22:39:10 |
Harriet Sheard | 22:39:10 |
Jevon Sullivan | 22:56:10 |
Dan Cashen | 23:04:00 |
Suzanne Beardsmore | 23:21:53 |
Graham Jones | 23:22:20 |
Mark Hull | 23:27:53 |
Dave Clark-Wilson | 23:29:10 |
Mark Bratt | 23:29:10 |
Alastair Owen | 23:45:16 |
Raymond Harmer | 23:46:44 |
I've also got to make my first correction. My provisional analysis showed 66 first time finishers (which would have been neat as we could have said that a third were walking for the first time).
This was done just before I left the finish yesterday with the Civil Defence hovering over me waiting for me to leave and today I have brought my main database up to date and the formulas only calculated 65. Robbie Stockton (who finished last year) had been included in error.
So 65 first time finishers is the new estimate and I have re-published the list at:
That took ages and I am half an hour behind schedule to meet my other commitments!
Hi Murray,
ReplyDeleteFirstly many thanks (I am sure from all of us who have read the website over the past few months) for the enormous amount of work you have put especially on and after the big day.
Having wisely taken the day off, it has been fantastic to see the site updating before my eyes.
Anyway the other reason for the post was to let you know that the picture of Neill at the finish can be found in the file labelled 25th on the first page jpegs 108 & 106. There was also another one taken of neill and 3 of the team members but I haven't found that one yet!
